Sometimes, the wood talks to you. For some reason, this one talked to me so I thought I'd share.

Wow, gorgeous ukulele. The koa is stunning, but your use of it more so.

That's just sick... (in a really good kind of way...)

Thanks guys! The one thing that is not readily visible is how much silking is in the top. You can see it in the vid at about 49 sec. One of my friends noticed the top more than the Koa. Go figure (how's that pun). . .

Lovely playing. Nice touch.

Where did you get 4 inline tuning machines? Been struggling to source that without throwing away 2 machines or buying two sets of 6 inline to have three sets I will probably never use.

Just click on the sponsored links above (support the OLF) for StewMac or LMI and order individuals. Personally, I bring my machines in direct. If they were a Sponsor, I'd certainly recommend them!

I haven't tried LMI, but I just got an email from Stewmac telling me they will not sell me 4 left tuners.

Did you ask them, or just order individual lefts off their site? I just went in and saw Gotoh individual, but not Schaller.

That's some very pretty Koa. Looks great with the restrained decoration

Thanks, that was the effect.

Until you start looking closely at the details. Miters all over the place, with the most difficult being the joint between the headstock binding and fretboard binding. Some would say lots of decoration, but I agree with the "restrained" comment. I think I'll use it!
